Sanjoy Roy

Sanjoy K Roy established Teamwork in 1989, a versatile production house with widespread interests in the performing and visual arts, social sector, films and television. He has received the National Award for Excellence and Best Director, for the film `Shahjahanabad’;

Currently Roy produces 14 annual Arts Festivals across the world including the popular Jaipur International Literature Festival. In 2008 he designed and directed – A Tribute to Africa featuring 250 artistes from 15 African countries. He has also designed the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games Arts Festival in Melbourne, 2006.

He is a founder trustee of the Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust, and Salaam Baalak Trust which provides support services for street children in Delhi.
