Adrienne Loftus Parkins

Adrienne is an international festival consultant, specialising in world literature and awards.

In 2007, Adrienne founded the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival, which she directed for eight years. She established The Asian Word in 2008 to promote contemporary writing about Asia and to champion emerging Asian / British Asian writers. Previously, she had a twenty-five year career in marketing communications in Canada, India, Singapore and China.

Adrienne co-founded Anamika, a women’s educational group in Bangalore, headed the National Museums’ public lecture programme in Singapore and has worked with the Pan Asian Women’s Association to promote Asian women writers. She has served on the steering committees of the British Council’s Korea Market Focus and Southbank’s Alchemy Festival. She is Literary Director and Advisor to Bangkok Edge, and Trustee of M Fest – Festival of Muslim Cultures and Ideas.
